There is serious panic among the political class in Cross river state since yesterday following the destruction and looting of their properties by angry youths over what they described as years of neglect by the elites. Apart from stripping the warehouses in Calabar naked, scores of places have been touched. The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Adamu Mohammed, has briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on the ongoing #EndSARS protest in Nigeria. An aide to the president, Bashir Ahmad, made this known in a tweet on Friday. Ahmad assured Nigerians that the president would “take an action in the best interest of Nigerians.” “Good people of Nigeria have every right to protest the #PoliceBrutality or anything they see is not going on well.
