There is serious panic among the political class in Cross river state since yesterday following the destruction and looting of their properties by angry youths over what they described as years of neglect by the elites. Apart from stripping the warehouses in Calabar naked, scores of places have been touched. Among the properties looted and destroyed so far, INEC, UNICAL hotel, West Africa Examination Council, WAEC, FIRS, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and 8 Miles Police Station are Federal institutions.
