The traditional ruler of Ohafia Kingdom, Abia State, Prof. E. U. L. Imaga, the Udumeze of Ohafia will be interred on July 6, 2024 at his country home, Elu Ohafia. The burial Central Working Committee, chaired by Prince Kalu Ikpemini with Chief Umeh Kalu, SAN as co-chairman, has in a press statement signed by the Secretary, Uma Ntima, noted that the funeral starts July 3 through July 6, the final rites of passage of the late monarch. Unidentified gunmen have killed two soldiers attached to the 14 Brigade, Ohafia, Abia State. According to Vanguard, the soldiers were attacked at their outpost at the Aba main motor park along Asa road. The newspaper gathered that the incident which occurred at about 8:00pm also took the life of a man suspected to be a keke operator. The Naira on Wednesday appreciated at the official market, trading at N1,459.02 to the dollar. Data from the official trading platform of the FMDQ Exchange, revealed that the Naira gained N61.38. This represents a 4.04 per cent gain when compared to the previous trading date on Tuesday, when the local currency exchanged at N1,520.40 to a dollar.
