The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reacted to the victory of Alex Otti as the Abia state governor-elect in Saturday’s election. Naija News reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday declared Alex Otti of the Labour Party (LP) as the winner of the 2023 Abia State governorship election. Otti polled 175,467 votes to defeat Okey Ahiwe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 88,529 votes in the March 18 election. The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha. In a letter signed by Muazu Kabiri, an official of the party in Gwadabawa Ward of Jimeta, said the SGF did not make meaningful contribution to the party during the elections.
