Protesters on Tuesday besieged the residence of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, singing the old national anthem with vigour. As the nationwide hunger demonstrations entered the sixth day, the protesters were seen marching to Mr Wike’s residence while holding palm fronds. The House of Representatives has dissolved the ad-hoc Joint Committee on Downstream and Midstream Committee probing activities of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd.(NNPCL), and the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
