The Kwara State Police Command said its operatives arrested a medical doctor, Adio Adeyemi, of Kaiama General Hospital, over alleged kidnap and murder of two ladies. Adeyemi was alleged to have kidnapped and killed his girlfriend identified only as Ifeoluwa, and another housewife, Nofisat Halidu, in 2021. Ifeoluwa was declared missing in the Tanke area, while Nofisat, a housewife in Kaiama, was reported missing by her husband, one Mr Halidu. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a former footballer, Okafor Junior at the Lagos International airport with 1.40kg of crack cocaine.
