Newly sworn-in Federal Capital Territory FCT minister, Nyesom Wike on Monday assumed office, with a pledge to restore the city’s master plan. At his maiden news conference, he said who have been given Certificates of Occupancy but failed to develop would also lose their lands to give way to those ready to build. “If you know you have built where you are not supposed to build, it will go down”, he said.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted $20 million cash suspected to be counterfeit. The agency said its operatives found the stash on Friday during a stop and search operation along Abaji-Lokoja road in the federal capital territory (FCT). In a statement on Sunday, Femi Babafemi, NDLEA spokesperson, said the suspected fake dollars was recovered from a bus coming from Lagos to Abuja, while the driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
