Emmanuel Ukoji, a proud Abia-born entertainer, has released a heartfelt press statement praising the remarkable progress in Abia State under the leadership of Governor Alex Chioma Otti.
In his message, Ukoji announced the dedication of his latest song, “Abia Ederele”, as a tribute to the administration’s achievements.
Reflecting on the state’s history and divine purpose, Ukoji described Abia as a creation guided by destiny rather than mere political necessity. “The name Abia wasn’t just a play on words; it’s divinely ordained,” he said, adding, “From the outset, Abia has been on a path guided by God, even through its leadership challenges.”
Ukoji praised Governor Otti’s administration, dubbing the current era as “Otimocracy”—a nod to the Governor’s impactful leadership style. “We are now seeing the true dividends of democracy in Abia. The state is firmly on track to fulfil its destiny,” he stated.
The song, “Abia Ederele”—which translates to “Abia has taken a stand”—celebrates key milestones observed in the state this year, including the Governor’s first year in office, Democracy Day, Abia’s 33rd anniversary, and Nigeria’s Independence Day. Ukoji expressed gratitude for the administration’s dedication to progress and called on Abians to embrace and support good governance.

In his concluding remarks, Ukoji rallied Abians to celebrate and support the ongoing transformation, declaring: “Abia Kaani Wo!” (Abia is truly on the move!).
