The House of Representatives member-elect for Arochukwu Ohafia Federal Constituency, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa has assured that he would work assiduously from his first day in office and would not disappoint the people of the Constituency.
Osonwa who stated this while addressing stakeholders comprising of eminent lawyers, town union leaders, civil servants, politicians, security experts, medical doctors, youths and women from Ohafia clan, Ohafia Local Government Area in Abuja on Saturday, appreciated the leaders for their support and encouragement during and after the elections.
He attributed his success to the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency who were willing to elect a credible representative and thanked God for his eventual victory.
Speaking in Ohafia at the residence of foremost community leader, Sir Linus Iro, Osonwa said his message was one of gratitude and specifically thanked the leaders for their prayers and support.
He pledged to regularly consult leaders of the Federal Constituency, saying: “I take the responsibility of being your servant seriously and believe that an inclusive leadership through constant consultations is the most adequate way to make sure that everyone is carried along and nobody is left behind.”
A former Attorney General of Abia State, Chief Umeh Kalu described the member-elect as the very best who is destined for leadership, urging him to make the people of Arochukwu Ohafia Federal Constituency proud.
The meeting was attended by a former Attorney General of Abia State and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Awa Kalu (SAN); Ex-Flying Eagles Coach, John Obuh; Retired Banker, Mr. Charles Nkata; Retired DSS Director, Chief Sunny Mbila.
Others include: Chief Kalu Idika Okwara, Chief Fab Uche, Dr. Eni Kalu, Engr. Omaka Onugu, Chief Felix Umeh, Mrs. Egoro Awa Kalu, Mrs Orieji Osonwa.
