The House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Chief Daniel Okeke has urged the people of the constituency to use this year’s New Yam Festival celebration to work for peace, unity and progress of the constituency.
He said this is to ensure that the constituency can take its rightful position, saying that unity and peace remain the vehicle to community driven development.
He gave the assurance on Saturday, September 10, 2022, when he was special guest at the 2022 New Yam Festival of Akanu Ohafia, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
The respected business leader who was represented by a chieftan of the party in Abia State, Prince Emma Nwosu, congratulated Ezie-Ogo Mba Odo Okereke on the successful festival, applauding the monarch for promoting and sustaining the rich culture of the Ohafia people, and assured him of his continued support.
Okeke, one of Nigeria’s most recognisable philanthropists, while offering his financial support to the occasion said the people of Akanu Ohafia are dear to him just like other communities in the Federal Constituency.
