A coalition of Northern Youth has launched awareness campaign to galvanise support for the Chief Whip of the Senate, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu ahead of 2023 presidential election in Nasarawa state.
The group under the auspices of Arewa Youths for Orji Uzor Kalu (AYOUK), unveiled a platform to mobilize 30 million youths across the 19 Northern states and Federal capital Territory (FCT) in solidarity with the former Abia state governor as the only trusted candidate who can consolidate the gains of president Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking during the distribution of writing materials to schools in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Yakubu Arigu Muhammad, emphasized that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu represents the most potent force for the advancement of Nigeria.
Muhammad declared the readiness of the group to drive intensive campaign across the Northern part of the country and drum support for the emergence of Dr. Kalu as President Muhammadu Buhari’s success.
The coordinator reminded Nigerians that Kalu has demonstrated competence and loyalty to manage the complex entity like Nigeria, cited how he diligently reconciled President Muhammadu Buhari with former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida when he was the Governor of Abia State.
He pointed out that Kalu was the most competent aspirant from Southern Nigeria to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, noting that any attempt to shortchange the South-East zone may not end well for the ruling All Progressives Congress.
“Today, we are here to Intimidate you on our readiness to mobilize 30 million youths for Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. We are here to create awareness and introduce Kalu to you all. He is a patriotic Nigerian that should be trusted by all. If you trusted President Muhammadu Buhari, please trust Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu,” he said.
