APC Govs Agree To Implement Judiciary, Legislative Autonomy In States

The All Progressive Congress (APC) under Ohafor Ward of Ohafia local government area has suspended a chieftain of the party, Hon. Kalu MBA Nwoke (Etiokwe), from the party for alleged anti-party activities, conspiracy, causing violence and flagrant violations of the APC Constitution.

In a letter of suspension from the party dated June 6, 2021, signed by the Ward Executives and made available to THE WHISPERER, the party stated that “ The house unanimously agreed to suspend you from the party on grounds of gross misconduct since you joined APC on May 21, 2021.”

The party also accused Nwoke of conspiring and instigating crisis among the different parties in his Asaga community, thereby endangering the lives of party faithfuls.

Responding to inquiry from THE WHISPERER on the phone, Nwoke described his alleged suspension as “a gang-up to discourage and weaken the party.”

He said there has never been a time he worked against the interest of the party, stressing that the allegations were the handiwork of his political enemies.

He noted that the purported suspension was a charade as leaders of the party like Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Dr. Chidia Maduekwe were solidly behind him.
