The Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu today countered the comment made by the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Barr. Kelechi Eric Igwe.
Barr Igwe had claimed that his Boss, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Dr. Dave Umahi is the best among the 36 Governors in the country during the Unveiling/Presentation of the book titled: “FOOTPRINTS OF EXCELLENCE (80 Leadership Lessons from Global Titans) written by Dr. C. Jasper Uche.
But in his own speech at the book launch held at Bridge Waters Suites, GRA Enugu, Rt. Hon. Uchendu noted that Abia State Governor, Dr. Victor Okezie Ikpeazu has taken over the lead in terms of infrastructural developments through his Kinetic Abia Project which has seen him commission and flag off several road construction in the state. The Deputy Speaker stated that those who still believe that the Governor has not and isn’t doing well at the moment were still living in the past.
He commended the Author of the book, Dr. C. Jasper Uche (Department of Political Science, University of Nigeria, Nsukka) who is a former TC Chairman of Umunneochi LGA of Abia State for his brilliance that saw him put together an exciting masterpiece which according to him would serve as a reference point/guide for today’s and tomorrow’s leaders.
Rt. Hon. Uchendu who also represented his Boss, the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji pledged his support for Dr. C. Jasper Uche and appreciated him for making Abia state proud in the Academic sector.
The Unveiling/Presentation of the Book was performed by the Ebonyi State Deputy Governor, Barr. Kelechi Eric Igwe while the Book Review was done by Dr. Nkwachukwu Orji (INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Anambra State) with other dignitaries also in attendance.
