Mohammed Abacha, a son of the late Nigerian military leader Sani Abacha, has emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, primary election in Kano. The returning officer, Barrister Amina Garba, declared Mr Abacha winner after polling 736 votes to defeat his closest rival, Jafar Sani-Bello, who scored 710 votes. The immediate past Rivers Accountant-General, Siminialayi Fubara, has emerged the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 General Election. A House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Philip Okwuada on Monday fainted after losing the party’s primaries in Delta State. It was learnt that Okwuada was bidding to represent Ika Federal constituency in the Green chamber of the National Assembly.
