Umahi’s Defection to APC: PDP NWC Dissolves Ebonyi Exco, Southeast Zonal Caretaker

Following the defection of Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi from the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP has announced the dissolution of the ward, local government and state executive committees of the Ebonyi state chapter of the party forthwith. The PDP’s NWC also dissolved the Southeast Zonal Caretaker Committee of the party headed by Governor Umahi’s brother, Chief Austin Umahi. According to Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP National Publicity Secretary, The decisions were in pursuant of the powers conferred on the NWC by the PDP Constitution.
