The National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the recommendations of the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi-led Zoning Committee, which recommended that the next national chairman of the party should come from the north. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) zonal Vice Chairman, South-South, Chief Dan Osi Orbih, has been suspended from the party.
