Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested former Taraba State governor, Darius Ishaku, over an alleged N27bn fraud. It was learnt that Ishaku, who left office in 2023 after serving as governor for eight years, was picked up at his Abuja residence in the early hours of Friday. The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), has expressed frustration over the repeated vandalism of critical power installations in Ohafia, and Arochukwu Local Government Areas of Abia State. “Just a week after replacing the vandalised 3-span electrical infrastructure, another sabotage attempt has been reported,”an official of EEDC said in a video obtained by The Whisperer on Thursday.
