Ex-Imo Governor Ikedi Ohakim distances self from moves to install him next Ohanaeze Ndigbo President-General
Former Imo State governor, Ikedi Ohakim, has said he has no interest in being the next President-General of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo. In a statement dated October 17 but made available to journalists on Monday, he said he has no knowledge of any plan to elect or appoint him leader of the group. The former governor said he is focused on the burial of the organisation’s President-General, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.
