Rights advocacy group, One Love Foundation has called on federal and state governments to immortalize the slain Lekki EndSARS protesters and compensate their families. The group which charged President Muhammadu Buhari and state governors to fish out the killers of the protesters also demanded the compensation of police officers killed during the unrest. The police in Lagos State have said six officers were killed in the state in the violence that occurred during the #EndSARS protests. The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, said this at a press briefing on Tuesday while listing the loss the command has suffered. “They were gruesomely murdered during the unrest,” he said.
