The Department of State Security Services, DSS, has again warned against plans by some persons and groups to exploit some fault lines to cause ethno-religious violence in some parts of the country. The Public Relations Officer of the Service, Dr Peter Afunanya, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja. Recall that the Service had on Jan. 11 issued an alert of plans by some elements working with external forces to incite religious violence across the country. Report reaching  TheWhisperer indicates that women storm out in their numbers to protest against atrocities of killer Fulani Herdsmen in Esan North East Local Government of Edo State, ranging from Kidnapping, Armed Robbering, Raping and Destruction of Crops among others. The Protesting women who block major roads at Uromi are demanding that Fulani Herdsmen to immediately evacuate from their lands. Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, has described Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife; Bola Tinubu, APC national leader, and Seyi Makinde, Oyo state governor, as Fulani slaves. Igboho also flayed some Yoruba leaders, including traditional rulers, alleging that have not shown enough support for the struggle to liberate the Yoruba from their ”Fulani oppressors”. Social media giant, Facebook, has banned the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. The whisperer reports that the account of the IPOB Leader on Facebook was suspended on Tuesday, 2 February, 2021. Reason for suspension of Kanu’s account by the popular social media platform is yet to be made known. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and properties of Abians. The Commissioner for Information in the state, John Kalu, said in a statement on Monday that the Abia State Government condemned “without reservations, the activities of criminal herdsmen suspected to have masterminded recent brazen kidnap of innocent citizens around Abia North Senatorial Zone of the State”.
