The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 50-year-old prophet, Tayo Shobowale, for allegedly raping a 17-year-old church member during a prayer session in the church in the Oke Igbala, Ifo area of the state. Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have arrested 50 arms-bearing herdsmen, THE WHISPERER has learned. “We arrested 50 illegally armed herdsmen and realised that some of them are into cattle rustling and kidnapping,’’ Commandant-General of the NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Audi, said on Wednesday in Abuja. A man identified as Ahmed Saka, has set ablaze the room of his ex-lover, Mutiat Oladele, leading to her death and her two children in Ibadan, Oyo State. According to reports the incident occurred at Shogoye, Idi-Arere area of Ibadan. Fear continues to pervade the atmosphere in Imo State as gunmen in the early hours of Thursday attacked the Mbieri Divisional Police Headquarters situated in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state.
