Suspected bandits who abducted Greenfield University, Kaduna State have threatened to kill the remaining 17 students. Twnty two students and a member of staff were abducted from the school campus along the Kaduna-Abuja highway on April 20 and within a week, five of them were killed according to Daily Trust. The Independent National Electoral Commission has said that its office in Essien Udim Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State has been set ablaze. This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye Esq. Unknown gunmen has allegedly killed a police officer at Abaomege Police Station in Onicha Local Government Area on Saturday night. The gunmen attacked Abaomege Police Station, a boarder town between Ebonyi and Cross River State on Saturday night. A police source, who confirmed the attack, said the gunmen attacked the station with dangerous arms. “Yes some unknown gunmen attacked Abomege police station and a policeman was killed while another was hospitalized following injuriew sustained in the attack,” the source stated.
