The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday, remanded the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS. Trial Justice Binta Nyako gave the remand based on an application that was brought the Federal Government. Justice Nyako ordered that Kanu, who was arrested outside the country by the Interpol and brought back to the country on Sunday, should remain in custody till July 26 when his trial will resume. The Federal Government has arrested the leader of the proscribed Indegeniuos People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, who made the disclosure to journalists on Tuesday, revealed that Kanu was arrested and brought back to Nigeria on Sunday. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said the official price of a litre of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol, will remain N162 in July. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it will comply with a High Court sitting in Abuja’s judgement dismissing the sacking of the Anambra State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s executives. The court, on June 9, 2021, dismissed the applications filed by the national office of the PDP and two others.
