The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the sum of N87.538bn for the construction of roads that cover the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Oyo, Kwara, Nasarawa, and Benue States. The FCT Minister, Muhammed Bello, while briefing State House reporters on Wednesday after the 22nd virtual FEC meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at Presidential Villa, Abuja, said the contract for the roads in the territory was awarded to Messrs Gilmor Engineering Nig. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will commence in the first quarter of 2021 ahead of the 2023 general election. This announcement was made on Wednesday by Chairman of the Electoral body, Professor Mahmood Yakubu during a budget defence session with the Senate Committee on INEC.
