The National Hospital in Abuja, on Monday, dismissed claims that the corpse of popular gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, was singing ‘Ekwueme’ while in the mortuary. The spokesman for the hospital, Dr Taiwo Haastrup, said there was no proof that Osinachi’s body was singing in the morgue. Speaking with newsmen, Haastrup said somebody dead couldn’t be singing while in the morgue. Osinachi, a chorister at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, died a few months ago allegedly due to domestic violence she suffered from her husband, Peter Nwachukwu. The Executive Secretary of National Agricultural Land Development Authority, NALDA, Mr Paul Ikonne has ignored President Muhammadu Buhari's order for political appointees seeking elective positions to resign from office. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has alerted owners of some Honda and Acura car models of how hackers have devised means of starting their engines wirelessly. According to Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, NCC Director, Public Affairs, research has exposed a vulnerability used by nearby attackers to unlock these vehicles. There is tension in some parts of Sokoto State as some youths protesting the arrest of two persons suspected to be involved in the killing of a female student, Deborah Samuel, for alleged blasphemy attacked some churches along Ahmadu Bello way in the state capital. The protesters had earlier in their numbers stormed the Sultan of Sokoto’s palace, setting up a bonfire near the building and demanding the release of the two suspects.
