President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, has dismissed claims that he is running for the presidency. Recall that a coalition of 28 groups had purchased and submitted the nomination form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on behalf of Adesina. At least three residents of Kano were killed while many are currently trapped in an explosion which rocked Sabongari in Fagge Local Government Area of the state. Details of the incident are still sketchy, but residents told Daily Trust that an explosive device went off in the early hours of the day. National Hospital dismisses claims of Osinachi’s corpse singing ‘Ekwueme’ at night

The National Hospital in Abuja, on Monday, dismissed claims that the corpse of popular gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, was singing ‘Ekwueme’ while in the mortuary. The spokesman for the hospital, Dr Taiwo Haastrup, said there was no proof that Osinachi’s body was singing in the morgue. Speaking with newsmen, Haastrup said somebody dead couldn’t be singing while in the morgue. Osinachi, a chorister at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, died a few months ago allegedly due to domestic violence she suffered from her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.
