The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has disclosed that some voter cards from certain migrants were recently intercepted and confiscated, warning that “stiff sanctions await any migrant” who attempts to participate in the nation’s electoral process. According to Premium Times, the Comptroller General of Immigration (CGI), Isah Idris, made this known Wednesday at a meeting with top management staff of the organisation including zonal coordinators, and comptrollers of commands and formations in Abuja. Anambra State Government has sacked all the park touts and banned all unions of tricycle and shuttle buses. The decision was taken after Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s meeting with State Executive Council.
