An Umuahia High Court has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to include the name of Labour Party Candidate, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, for the 2023 House of Representatives election for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. The Kwara State Police Command said its operatives arrested a medical doctor, Adio Adeyemi, of Kaiama General Hospital, over alleged kidnap and murder of two ladies. Adeyemi was alleged to have kidnapped and killed his girlfriend identified only as Ifeoluwa, and another housewife, Nofisat Halidu, in 2021. Ifeoluwa was declared missing in the Tanke area, while Nofisat, a housewife in Kaiama, was reported missing by her husband, one Mr Halidu.
