Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, has died in Abuja. He was aged 65. An Aide to the deceased, Mr Ahmed Tijjani Lawal, disclosed this in a telephone interview on Wednesday in Kano. He said that the 8th speaker died in the early hours of Wednesday at the National Hospital, Abuja. Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, is dead. Akeredolu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), was first elected governor of Ondo State in 2016. He had been battling unknown illness for some months before his demise in the wee hours of Wednesday. Jim Obazee, the investigator from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has revealed that the government plans to reclaim two banks that were unlawfully sold to the former CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele. Following the Federal Government’s initiative of reducing transport fares on dedicated routes across the country, ABC Transport Plc, Nigeria’s foremost road transport company, on Thursday, commenced the implementation of the offer.
