Jim Obazee, the investigator from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has revealed that the government plans to reclaim two banks that were unlawfully sold to the former CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele. According to Obazee’s findings, Emefiele used intermediaries to acquire Union Bank of Nigeria for Titan Trust Bank Limited and Keystone Bank without any proof of payment. Following the Federal Government’s initiative of reducing transport fares on dedicated routes across the country, ABC Transport Plc, Nigeria’s foremost road transport company, on Thursday, commenced the implementation of the offer. With the new arrangement, passengers travelling on the various dedicated routes, can now walk into any ABC Transport terminal and pay only 50 percent of the applicable fares to embark on their journeys. Bandits have resorted to collecting beer as levies from farmers before allowing them to harvest crops in the Ardo-Kola local government area of Taraba State.
