The Court of Appeal in Abuja has sacked Senator Godswill Akpabio as the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District. Delivering Judgement, a three-member panel of justices led by Justice Danlami Senchi, held that Akpabio failed to file a proof of arguments within the time provided by the rules. The details of the 19 terrorists are contained in a poster released by the Director, Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Jimmy Akpor, on Monday in Abuja. A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday adjourned indefinitely the trial of the Biafra nation agitator, Nnamdi Kanu in the terrorism charges brought against him by the Federal Government. Justice Binta Nyako put off the trial sine die at the instance of Kanu, pending the resolution of the Federal Government’s appeal against the October 13 judgment of the Court of Appeal that discharged him from the terrorism charges. Omoyele Sowore, Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress, has claimed that officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) were busy with Big Brother Naija (BBN) when he was in detention.
