Several groups are marching the streets of Lafia and other parts of Nasarawa State in protests against the Supreme Court ruling affirming Abdullahi Sule remains the state’s governor. The protest broke out on Friday, according to a Daily Trust report, which added that protesters had, in large numbers, blocked the Lafia-Jos Road, lighting bonfires and singing demonstration songs. Kidnappers on Thursday night stormed the Nigeria Post Army Estate in Abuja, abducting two residents. The victims include the wife and one of the in-laws of one Barrister Cyril Adikwu. The incident, according to a neighbour of the victims, occurred around 10:00 p.m. in the Phase 2 area of the estate, Leadership reports. A few days after the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, announced plans to permanently relocate some key departments from Abuja Headquarters to Lagos, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, will be following suit. The Supreme Court has affirmed the victory of Governor Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the 2023 gubernatorial election in Nasarawa State.
