A lady in Ebonyi State, Michael Ozioma Helen, has called off her forthcoming wedding due to alleged domestic abuse by her fiance. She explained why she took the decision 72 hours to her wedding day. The Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Atakumosa East Central Local Government Area of Osun State, Gbenga Ogbara, has been shot dead by gunmen. It was gathered that Ogbara was shot dead in his house in Ogangan, in the wee hours of Monday. Some contractors who executed road projects in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers States have alleged that they are being owed by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). The railway station in Gidan, Kaduna state, has been invaded by gunmen. Details of the attack which occurred on Tuesday are still sketchy, and it isn’t yet clear if there were casualties. Innocent Ajiji, president of the Nigeria Union of Railway Workers, confirmed the development to TheCable. “We are yet to determine the extent of damage,” he said. Gunmen on Saturday morning razed the country home of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor, at Awo-Omanma in the Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State. The Federal Government on Tuesday commenced another round of inspection of the pace of work currently ongoing on the Second Niger Bridge project The inspection is being done by the Minister of Works Babatunde Fashola; Minister of Labour and Employment Dr Chris Ngige, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority, Uche Orji, and other top officials of government.
