A 400-level optometry student of Abia State University, Uturu, Francis Chibuike has died after jumping off a three-storey building. EBONYI State Governor, David Umahi, on Tuesday said academic activities would take off in September 2021 at the new state-owned Medical University, Uburu, in the Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the results of candidates who sat in more than 720 CBT centres for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted between June 19 and June 22. The Niger State Universal Basic Education Board, NSUBEB, has disclosed that more than 90 per cent of pupils in exit classes in public schools can neither read nor write. Dr Isah Adamu, Chairman of NSUBEB, disclosed this during a two-day roundtable discussion on revamping basic education in Niger State in Minna on Thursday.
