The National Coordinator of Peoples Democratic Party Coalition PDPCO and former gubernatorial aspirant in Abia State, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu has called on PDP governors and other leaders of the party to show leadership and rally round the governorship candidate of the party in Ondo state, Mr Eyitayo Jegede, SAN to emerge victorious in the upcoming governorship election.
Kalu, who is also the Director General of Atikulated Agenda Campaign Group Worldwide, said there may be saboteurs within the ranks of the party but a joint effort from all stakeholders would ensure overwhelming victory for the party and further spread the popularity of the party in the south west.
Kalu believes that the forum of the PDP governors and BOT members have enormous influence and role to play in the upcoming elections in Edo and Ondo states but must show maximum commitment to their colleague in Edo State and also help the party to win Ondo state as well.
He said PDP leaders should seize the opportunity of reclaiming Ondo state back in her fold seriously if they truly want to take over Nigeria in 2023.
Kalu in statement signed by him said “It is imperative we rally round Mr Eyitayo Jegede, SAN in the upcoming governorship election. PDP Governors and BOT
members should show uncommon solidarity by rallying round Jegede.”
“Adding Ondo state to our rank will further aid our spread across the nation especially in the south west where PDP has just one state. The good people of Ondo state and Nigerians has seen the commitment and dedication of PDP to the ideals of a truly Democratic Party with its interest at heart. We must leverage on the poor performance of APC at all levels to win Ondo state.
