Ngwa Peace Foundation (NPF), has promised to reciprocate the support gained by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu during the 2015 and 2019 gubernatorial elections in which the Ohafia people massively supported and voted for him.

The Ngwa group vowed to mobilise all Ngwa sons and daughters both home and abroad for the emergence of an Ohafia son or daughter during 2023 general election.

They asserted, “Just like the people of Ukwa/Ngwa whom before 2015 has never had their son or daughter as governor of the state, the Ohafia people are yet to produce a governor.”

The group stated this in a press release through its National Coordinator, Dr. Maxwell Chioma Ubani; National Secretary, Arc. Ifeanyi Nze Onubogu on Monday, May 17.

“The Ohafia people were with us when others in Abia North worked against Ukwa/Ngwa.

“They stood with us and gave our son the highest number of votes from Abia North in 2015 and 2019 respectively. We must repay them by supporting them in 2023 to consolidate the political marriage between Ukwa/Ngwa and Ohafia.

“We have our records; those who supported us up to Supreme Court and those who worked against Ukwa/Ngwa up to Supreme Court.

“We won’t betray them no matter the temptation to do so. They have the numbers and the men to deliver for any party. Therefore, we shall mobilise, support and canvass for an Ohafia son or daughter to succeed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu Ph.D.
