Rep Ibe Okwara Osonwa Congratulates Abia LP Chairman, Lauds Governor Otti’s Dogged Leadership
The member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has congratulated the newly elected Abia State Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Azubuike, and other members of the State Working Committee, describing their emergence as a big step towards strengthening the party’s structure.
Osonwa also commended the peaceful conduct of the party’s State Congress held in Umuahia, noting that the consensus method adopted by delegates reflected unity, discipline, and internal democracy within the party.
In a statement made available to journalists, the lawmaker lauded the leadership of Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, describing his doggedness and commitment as a driving force behind the stability and growing acceptance of the party in the state.
“This successful and peaceful congress is a clear testament to the focused and purposeful leadership of Governor Alex Otti. His doggedness, vision, and commitment to building a united party have continued to inspire confidence among members,” Osonwa said.
He added that the emergence of the new executives would further reposition the party for greater performance and electoral success.
“I congratulate Mr Peter Azubuike and all members of the State Working Committee on their well-deserved emergence. This is a call to service, and I am confident that they will work tirelessly to unite and strengthen our party across Abia State,” he said.
The lawmaker also extended his congratulations to those who emerged at the ward and local government levels across the state, particularly in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
“I equally felicitate with our dedicated party faithful who emerged at the ward and local government levels, especially in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. Your commitment and loyalty to the party will remain the foundation of our collective success,” he added.
Osonwa urged the newly elected officials to remain focused, united, and committed to the ideals of the party, stressing that cohesion and grassroots mobilisation would be critical ahead of future elections.
“With unity, discipline, and sustained grassroots engagement, I am confident that the Labour Party will continue to grow stronger and achieve resounding victories in 2027,” he stated.
