City Boy Movement Partner Onyebuchi Reaffirms Support for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election, Delegates Isiukwuato Coordinator Selection to Grassroots
A prominent stakeholder of the City Boy Movement in Abia State, Iroham Kenneth Onyebuchi, has restated his strong commitment to the movement and his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement addressed to the National, Regional, and State leadership of the movement, Onyebuchi emphasized that he remains dedicated to advancing the administration of President Tinubu. He noted that he is fully prepared to continue contributing to the progress and success of the movement in every possible way.
However, he explained that his current responsibilities, which often take him outside Nigeria, make it difficult for him to maintain consistent engagement at the grassroots level. As a result, he said he is unable to effectively oversee the process of selecting a Local Government Coordinator for Isiukwuato LGA.
To address this, Onyebuchi announced that the responsibility for choosing the coordinator would be handed over to members and leaders of the City Boy Movement within Isiukwuato.
He stated that this decision followed extensive consultations and careful consideration, with the goal of encouraging inclusiveness, fairness, and internal democracy within the movement.
According to him, those who are actively involved at the grassroots are in the best position to make decisions that truly reflect the interests and strength of the movement. He added that this approach would help deepen unity, foster a sense of ownership, and strengthen commitment among members.
Onyebuchi expressed confidence in the ability of stakeholders in Isiukwuato, describing them as experienced and well-positioned to make decisions that will move the movement forward.
He also clarified that delegating this responsibility does not reduce his loyalty or support for the City Boy Movement. Instead, he said it reflects his commitment to ensuring a credible, transparent, and participatory process.
He concluded by appreciating the leadership and members of the movement for their understanding and continued dedication, while also calling for unity and sustained efforts toward the 2027 re-election goal.
