2023: Play By The Rules, MPA President Tells Politicians

The President of Mben Political Assembly (MPA), Chief Eme Uche Onuh, on Wednesday called on politicians as well as their supporters to play by the rules ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Uche, made the call in Ohafia when the deputy governoship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Dr. Desmond Chima Anyaso during a visit with his team to Ohafia.

According to him, politicians should play politics devoid of bitterness and sentiments, pointing out that politics should not be a do-or-die affair.

He decried the desperation, utterances and inordinate ambitions of some politicians, saying they are capable of checkmating the state.

Uche also lamented the pain and frustration in the land, urging leaders to do something about them.

He called on politicians to moderate their utterances to avoid heating up the polity.

He also appealed to the electorate, who were yet to get their Permanent Voter Cards to get it and support credible candidates during the general elections.

Finally, Uche told Anyaso that MPA is a think tank group formed to press for the emergence of an Ohafia person as the governor of Abia State in 2023.

Our correspondent reports that Anyaso was accompanied by the party’s House of Assembly candidate for Ohafia South State Constituency, Comrade Arua Goodluck.
