Former Aba North Assembly Member, Hon Emeka Nnamani, has emerged as the candidate of Labour Party for Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency of Abia State.
Hon Emeka emerged as the party’s choice at its ongoing state convention and primary election of the party in Aba on Wednesday afternoon.
Nnamani was affirmed as the consensus candidate of the party by the delegates across the various wards of Aba North/Aba Federal Constituency.
Recall that Hon. Emeka Nnamani had last week dumped the All Progressives gland Alliance (APGA), due to lack of internal democracy.
In his resignation letter, Nnamani said, “Following my resignation from the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, due to issues at odds with my personal principles, I have consulted extensively with various parties and personalities to ensure that we do not complicate the route to our desired destination.
“For me, the process of achieving our goal is as fundamental as what you do next,” he stated.
Our correspondent reports that Nnamani decamped to Labour Party with thousands of his supporters.
