Group Seeks Collaboration With Abia Government On Infrastructural Development
A non partisan and non governmental organisation, Abia Infrastructure Mandate AIM, made up of Abia professionals and technocrats from both in Nigeria and the diaspora has after its recent zoom conference interaction resolved to partner with Abia state government in the area of building legacy Infrastructure for Abians. The resolution further said that being part of the solution to improve Abia Infrastructure is more pertinent than indulging in blame games since all of us are first and foremost Abians who will suffer for our collective negligence.
This group which has built its membership across all the 17LGAs in the state has vowed to help the present Ikpeazu government in the state to achieve measurable signature Infrastructure for the state in the remaining 17 months to the end of this administration. The group is planning to unveil its state secretariat in Umuahia to take their infrastructure advocacy down to the state and the people.
Speaking through it’s Convener, Engr. Odo Ijere who released the communique, the group said Abia Infrastructure Mandate will not play partisan politics with the state of infrastructure in the state but will bring the pool of its professionals all over the world to make Abia state an infrastructure paradise. He said Abia Infrastructure Mandate has over 200 members Abia professionals in all parts of the world and in Nigeria with capacity to explode Infrastructure of our state.
Odo Ijere, an engineer and a development expert who also doubles as Co-founder of the group said in the release that moves are on by the group to meet the government of Abia state to unveil its programs and developmental projects that can help make Abia state a leader in physical infrastructure sector. Engr Ijere further said that it’s not too late for the government of Abia state to turn things around as most of the projects the group is coming up with will be structured with private sector capital that will not cost the state any dime.
The communique further said that a seven member AIM committee of Abia professionals are expected to meet with the governor of the state within the next two to three weeks to place the projects on the table as our patriotic contribution towards developing our state.
