Former Abia State Governor, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu has congratulated Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu on his emergence as the President-General of the Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo.
The apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide adopted Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu as the new President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, to oversee the affairs of the organisation till January 10, 2025 during their Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide Imeobi/General Assembly meeting held on Saturday 14th December, 2024 at their National Secretariat in Enugu State.
Reacting to the news, Kalu, who is the lawmaker representing Abia North Senatorial District at the National Assembly described Chukwu as competent and knowledgeable with the requisite capacity to serve as the president of the sociocultural organization.
He commended the leaders and Ndigbo for their democratic credentials evinced in the choice of Nze Chukwu as the new leader of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization.
“I congratulate Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu on his emergence as the President-General of the Ohaneze Ndigbo. He is very competent and knowledgeable with the requisite capacity to serve as the president of the sociocultural organization,” the statement said.
