Senator Augustine O. Akobundu, representing Abia Central Senatorial District and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Elder Nkumogu Obadiah Kalu Mbila on the occasion of his Igba Uche (Traditional Retirement) Ceremony.
In a goodwill message dated 12th December 2024, Senator Akobundu praised Elder Obadiah Mbila’s exemplary service, describing it as a testament to his hard work, dedication, and commitment to the peace, progress, and development of his people, the state, and the nation at large.
“It is fitting that Elder Nkumogu Obadiah Kalu Mbila is being celebrated with such pomp and splendour by the very people he has faithfully served,” the Senator remarked.
On behalf of the people of Abia Central Senatorial District and his family, Senator Akobundu expressed joy and solidarity with the family of Obadiah and Osodieme Mbila, while extending prayers for Elder Mbila’s continued prosperity, good health, and happiness.
“As Elder Nkumogu Obadiah Kalu Mbila enters the prestigious class of elder statesmen, I pray that God will continue to prosper and grant him good health and happiness,” the message read.
Senator Akobundu concluded by congratulating Elder Mbila, recognising the celebration as a fitting tribute to a lifetime of selfless service.
