Nigerian activist and leader of the #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, has alleged the existence of a confidential memorandum within the government advising against an Igbo presidency.

The 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) made this claim while speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu.

Sowore emphasised that the Igbo people must separate from Nigeria for their own survival, asserting that the Igbo community cannot thrive within the current structure of the nation.

He stated, “Nigeria has an Igbo problem. There is a secret memo in the government to be cautious of the Igbos. The memo discourages giving the Igbos political positions and opportunities.

“For an Igbo person to survive in Nigeria as it is currently structured, Nigeria must break.”
