The Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has successfully concluded another batch of an intensive training program for farmers, focusing on women and youth, as part of the 5,000 Women/Youth Human Capacity Training, Skill Development, and Startup Grant initiative in the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
This empowerment program, organized by Hon. Osonwa, was conducted in collaboration with the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria and SJG Ventures Nigeria Limited.
Facilitators provided training on essential topics such as food storage, the production and preparation of organic manure, and strategies for becoming successful entrepreneurs.
The highlight of the two-day program was a quiz competition between participants from Arochukwu and Ohafia Local Government Areas, culminating in three winners who received prizes of ₦200,000, ₦100,000, and ₦50,000, respectively.
Participants, drawn from the 22 wards of the eight clans in the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, expressed their gratitude to Hon. Osonwa for the significant support he has provided. They prayed for his continued success and pledged their unwavering support for his initiatives.
Additionally, participants will receive startup grants ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦100,000, depending on the scale of their business or farm operations.
This program aligns with Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa’s broader initiative of providing human capacity training, skill development, and startup grants to empower 5,000 women and youth in the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
