Ohafia Improvement Union (OIU) Abuja Branch, has elected Chief Kalu Idika Okwara as its new president to pilot the affairs of the Abuja apex Ohafia organization.

Chief Kalu Idika Okwara hails from Ndi Ibe Ohafia.

Our correspondent reports that Chief Kalu Idika Okwara scored 92 votes to emerge unopposed.

Prince Ikechukwu Kalu Imaga (Elu) emerged as the 1st Vice President. He was declared winner having scored a total of 49 votes to defeat his opponent, Chief Kingsley Kalu Okeh (Okon Aku) with 43 votes, while Chief Felix Umeh (Asaga) was elected 2nd Vice President.

Engr. Ogbugo Uchendu ( Ebem) was elected as the Secretary General with 58 votes, defeating Mr. Udonsi Kalu Akuma (Amangwu) who got 34 votes.

Chief Frank Kalu Emea (Amaekpu) with 63 votes was elected Financial Secretary, as against 33 votes scored by Elder Akuma Kalu (Amuke); Mr. Kalu Uche Nwaoriaku (FCA) was elected Treasurer with 63 votes, defeating Mr. Awa Okoronkwo Ajah (Abia) who scored 29 votes.

Mr. Kalu Kalu Mbah (Okagwe) was elected as the Public Relation Officer with 87 votes.
