Excitement As Mbaka Foundation Donates Beverages To NYSC

The Mbaka Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Isiukwuato LGA of Abia State has donated packs of beverages, including bottled water, biscuits, malt drink, minerals, and fruits drinks to the National Youth Service Corps Scheme in Abia State, to assist in welcoming the 2024 batch B stream 2 Prospective Corps Members in the state.

The foundation made the donation on Wednesday, at the Umunna Bende NYSC Orientation Camp, when a delegation of the NGO visited the camp. While presenting the beverages, the Chairman of the foundation, Dr. (Sir) Emmanuel Ndubuisi Mbaka, who was represented by Reverend Sister Ikediobi Chineme said she was once a Corps member, as such would always love to associate and collaborate with the scheme and corps members, in all of her good endeavours, as a way of encouraging the young and vibrant Nigerians whom the society is looking up to. She noted that the foundation have already taken health care delivery to people in Isiukwuato LGA where they are solely running the Primary Health facility and ensuring delivery of complete medical care to the people in that area.

She appreciated NYSC for the posting of Corps Medical personnel to them while soliciting for more Corps Members and stronger partnership with the scheme to help the organisation deliver quality health care to the good people of Isuikwuato. She noted that Corps members posted to the foundation, were doing very well and are of great Assistant to the organisation.

While recieving the donation, the State Coordinator, NYSC Abia, Barr. Mrs. Gladys Adama thanked the foundation for their kind gesture and said that the beverages came at the right time, when the 2024 batch ‘B’ stream 2 Prospective Corps Members are just arriving the camp, saying that the donated items will be used for the reception and entertainment of the new Corps Members as they arrive the camp. She however called on other good spirited individuals and groups to support the scheme, in making the stay of corps members in the state memorable.

With the State Coordinator during the visit were the Assistant Director, PRS, Mrs. Hulda Azuike, Assistant Director Corps Welfare and Health Services, Mrs. Ekechukwu-Felix Patricia, the Zonal Inspector Ohafia, Mr. Ogbonnia Emmanuel and the Local Inspector of Isuikwuato, Mr. Victor Ogbonnia.
