The lawmaker representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has flagged off the rehabilitation of Ihenta (Ibina) road in Ohafia Local Government Area, to ease the plights of residents and motorists in the area.
The flag-off event took place on Monday, August 26, 2024.
According to a statement signed by his Legislative Aide, Hon. Arua Goodluck, on Thursday, the lawmaker said the road remained critical in the area and will, on completion, revive the economic viability of the rural dwellers.
The lawmaker said that apart from making good laws and oversight functions, he would ensure the constituency gets its share of federal projects and other dividends of democracy including job vacancies.
The Rep member thanked his constituents for their massive support for him and continued support for the administration of Governor Alex Otti.
He promised not to disappoint the people nor renege in any of his campaign promises, promising to “synergise with other lawmakers from the zone for the good of the people”.
The project is handled by Jagsul Nig. Limited and supervised by the Border Community Development Agency.
The event was attended by the Ezie-Ogo Ihenta; Ohafia Youth President, Mr. Obasi Kalu; Chief Idika Ike, among others.
While the Chief of Staff to Honourable Ibe Okwara, Chief I.I. Onwuka represented the later.
