The lawmaker representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of Abia State, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has enjoined Christians to imbibe the spirit of compassion, love and forgiveness towards one another.
The Vice Chairman of the House Committee on FCT Judiciary made this known in his Good Friday message to Nigerians.
He stressed that such fundamental values would go a long way in strengthening the harmony in the country.
Osonwa advised Nigerians to always provide selfless service to humanity just as Christ demonstrated through his death and resurrection.
He said: “On this solemn occasion of Good Friday, I want to extend warm greetings to all of you. May this day remind us of the sacrifices made by Jesus Christ and inspire us to act with compassion, love, and forgiveness towards one another.
“Let us take a moment to reflect on the significance of this day and seek guidance from our faith as we navigate through life’s challenges. As we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus, let us also remember the message of hope and redemption that Good Friday brings.
“I hope this day brings you peace, joy, and spiritual growth. May you find comfort in the teachings of Jesus and carry them with you always. Wishing you a blessed Good Friday.”
