Young Progressives Party (YPP) House of Assembly candidate for Ohafia South State Constituency in Abia State, Hon. Arua Goodluck Egwu has dumped the party for the Labour Party.
In a resignation letter addressed to his ward chairman, in Ebem Ohafia Ward in Ohafia LGA of the state, Hon. Arua said he took the personal decision after wide consultations.
He said, “I wish to formally resign my membership of the Young Progressive Party, with effect from the date of this letter.
“This is for personal reasons, after wide consultations with friends and members of my family. Sponsored “I want to thank the Party for the opportunity afforded me to have served the state in my own little capacity.
“ I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have served under YPP. “ I am proud of the work we have accomplished together, and I have the utmost respect for the party leadership and my fellow members,” he said.
Arua in a chat with The Whisperer said about 500 of his supporters have been welcomed into the Labour Party across the five federal wards in Ohafia South State Constituency .
