The Mayor of Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex MFR, OON “Ugo’Ena” Nde Abiriba, has initiated the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the council headquarters located at Ebem Ohafia. The LGA headquarters, which has been neglected and abandoned over the years, has practically turned into farmland. Bulldozers and graders are currently clearing the area previously used for farming.
Our correspondent observed contractors equipped with various machinery, including graders, at the council headquarters, conducting tasks such as grading internal roads to prepare for interlocking stone pavements, leveling the football field pitch, and reconstructing offices, among other activities.
